Amer or Amber fort is located atop of high hills and 11 km away from the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Amer fort is prime tourist attraction in Jaipur. Ridding on elephant to reach atop the fort is an experience itself. It was built by meena’s king Alan Singh Chanda and later occupied by Kachhawa rajput. Amer fort is known for its architecture within the fort and on its massive ramparts.
